You've spent weeks or even months preparing for this performance.  The cast is off-book, and the choreo is on point.  The lights are hung, and the stage is set.  After countless hours of rehearsal and tech, opening night is finally here.  The audience waits with excitement in their seats as the lights dim.  You feel the butterflies in your stomach as the orchestra tunes, and then that thrilling rush of adrenaline as the curtains rise.

And almost as soon as it began, the show has come to an end.
